RESCUE LOCKBOXES

Would police, firefighters, and/or para-medics be able to gain entry to your home if you were unable to get to the door? Rescue lockboxes for seniors is the answer! The Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors, the Scottsdale Police Department, and the Scottsdale Fire Department are offering seniors a FREE rescue lockbox (based on annual income) to be placed on their home. This service is available to Scottsdale and Fountain Hills residents only. In the event a senior is unable to unlock the door when urgent help is needed, access is provided without breaking into your home. Call today...1-877-220-5042 (toll free). This service is for EMERGENCY PURPOSES ONLY.

100 Condo Project

At the Village Two annual HOA mtg last February, there was mention of a condominium project proposed for the vacant 6-acre lot at 91st Street and San Victor, directly west of Village Two. Developers are asking to rezone the parcel from C-3 (office commercial) to R-5 (multi-family) and their plan is to build 14 three-story buildings of 100 condominiums. For a variety of reasons, this just does not seem compatible with the master plan of McCormick Ranch. Throughout Scottsdale, neighborhoods are complaining about the increased density, traffic, congestion, etc., and are protesting similar projects. In the Scottsdale Tribune of August 3, 2006, the following article appeared (on page 1, no less!!)...
http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=70896
We're hoping that there will be increasing objections raised as Village Two residents learn more about how, if the developers are successful, this project will change the character of our neighborhood forever.
